There is “terror on our streets”, says The Mirror, after three people, including an 11-year-old girl, were injured in a dog attack in Birmingham. Home Secretary Suella Braverman says the American XL Bully is “a clear and lethal danger” and she is exploring a ban for the dog breed.

The i Paper reports that “hope” is growing that the Bank of England will limit future rises in interest rates. It says its “expert panel of economists” have predicted a “less aggressive approach” to tackling inflation, in a “small mercy” for mortgage holders.
