Super Mario Run breaks 40m downloads in four days

Nintendo's first attempt at a mobile game is the most downloaded free game across 140 countries

Super Mario Run, Nintendo's first foray into the mobile gaming market, has sold more than 40 million copies in four days.

The title, which launched towards the end of last week, is currently sitting at the top of the free rankings in the iOS app store and also features in the top ten of for highest-grossing apps - an "incredible record", says Apple senior vice president Phil Schiller.
