A spirited affair: Where to celebrate Day of the Dead

Mexico's vibrant national holiday is upon us – we select four of the best places to get in on the food, fun and tradition

A colourful homage to those dearly departed, nothing quite exemplifies the unique culture of Mexico better than the country's famous national holiday, Dia de los Muertos – Day of the Dead. And just as Mexican restaurants are now prominent on Britain's dining scene when once they were few and far between, increasingly common is the sight of Day of the Dead-inspired sugar skulls and decoration. This November, Britain's best Mexican bars and restaurants will join in the celebrations with live music, dancing and, of course, great food.
