From instantaneous web browsing to fitness tracking, the functions we take for granted on our phones today were practically unheard of just a few years ago. But as technology continues to develop at the speed of light, often the aesthetics fail to keep pace or seem merely an afterthought – and in no area has this been more true than with wearable technology. Apple is well practised at matching flawless design with an innovative and technical approach. The Apple Watch itself continues the sleek, minimalist look the brand is known for, and its collaboration with luxury specialist Hermes takes it to the next level. Leaning on the French marque's expertise in watchmaking, the products take inspiration from iconic designs such as the Clipper and Cape Cod to inform the look of the watch face. This homage continues with the strap, with options including the timeless double tour, which elegantly wraps twice around the wrist, and the double-buckle cuff, influenced by the shape of Hermes sandals.
