The first major art movement in Bahrain emerged in the 1950s, and the kingdom has since been nurturing homegrown talent to establish a thriving art market that's gaining increasing international recognition.

To celebrate the 200th anniversary of UK/Bahraini relations, supported by a royal visit to Bahrain by HRH The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall in November, the first edition of Bahrain Art Week in London will take place from 16 to 21 December 2016.
