Louis Vuitton releases new fragrance

Louis Vuitton announces its eight scent Le Jour Se Lève

Louis Vuitton's selection of seven evocatively named fragrances is set to become an octet, as the Parisian luxury maison has announced the launch of an eighth Eau de Parfum. First debuted in 2016, Louis Vuitton's collection of scents, including Apogee - a heady combination of lily-of-the-valley, Jasmin and the guaiac wood aroma of the Palo Santo tree - are the work of French master perfumer Jacques Cavallier. The latest addition to the line too was created by Cavallier at Les Fontaines Parfumées, set in the storied centre of perfumery in Southern France.

Available from the 15th of March in three sizes (100ml, 200ml and the travel-ready 7.5ml , Le Jour Se Lève is Cavallier's olfactory take on sunrise. At the heart of Le Jour Se Lève sits the fragrant fresh aroma of the mandarin. "Mandarin is a marvellous citrus fruit", says Cavallier. "It’s possible to diffuse from it simultaneously the optimism of its flesh, the freshness of the zest and the floral aspect of the tree." Other notes include Jasmin Sambac, a Chinese variety of the white-flowering plant and the same used to fragrance green tea, magnolia petals and punchy blackcurrant.
