Melania Trump tell-all interview: what will she reveal?
First Lady asked about her husband's infidelity, her views on the #MeToo movement and that infamous jacket
Melania Trump opens up about her time in the White House in a rare solo interview to be screened later this week.
The ABC interview, Being Melania - The First Lady, was filmed during the her recent trip to Africa and is to air on Friday evening.
According to the Daily Mail, “no question was off the table”, with topics ranging from the state of her marriage and her husband’s infidelity to her views on the #MeToo movement. The former model is also asked about her now-infamous decision to wear a jacket with the message, “I Really Don’t Care Do You?”, printed on the back during a visit to an immigrant detention centre.

The London Evening Standard says “hype around the interview is building as the channel prepares to air the frank conversation on Friday only hinting at how Mrs Trump is to open up to viewers”.
It has been over a year since she gave an interview with a major US network, with almost all her appearances on TV taking place by her husband’s side.
The ABC interview is expected to be far more extensive than the one Melania gave to Ainsley Earhardt, host of US morning show Fox & Friends, in June last year, when she answered just four questions about living in the White House and how her son, Barron, had handled the move.
During her visit to Egypt last week, Melania did respond to reporters’ questions about the recent sexual assault allegations about now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
She said: “I’m glad Dr [Christine] Ford was heard. FBI investigation was done, is completed, and Senate voted.” However, she refused to respond when asked: “Did you believe Christine Ford?”
The ABC interview is also set to touch on subjects that would normally be off limits to a first lady.
In a preview, chief national affairs correspondent Tom Llamas is seen saying: “You did agree to this interview, to your credit, with no preconditions. Knowing that there could be some tough questions asked.”
Llamas asks Melania whether women in the #MeToo movement “can call you a supporter”.
Discussing her relationship with the president, he says: “You’re not the first first lady to have to deal with your husband’s infidelities - has this put a strain on your marriage?”
The preview ends with him asking about “the jacket,” and what the first lady considers to be the biggest misconception about her.
