The Week was first published in 1995 by Jolyon Connell, when he was working as foreign editor of the Daily Telegraph.  He realised that if he couldn’t keep up with the week’s news, what chance did the rest of us have?

In 1996, entrepreneur Felix Dennis acquired a majority shareholding in the magazine, which is now published by Dennis Publishing Ltd. Since then we’ve launched editions in the US and, most recently, in Australia, bringing global circulation to over 700,000.
