London, September 2007: The Week, Dennis Publishing's market leading weekly news magazine, has today announced a reduced cover price for one week only, on sale 5th October 2007. This issue will be on sale for £1.50, a reduction from the usual £2.35 price. The promotion will also coincide with significant newsstand promotion at a number of major retails multiples, including Tesco and Asda. This marketing activity from The Week comes as its luxury sister title, The Quarterly, announces that it has signed up a number of prestigious new advertisers. The Autumn 2007 issue of The Quarterly that will be distributed to The Week subscribers contains advertising from new advertising clients Louis Vuitton, Versace, Gieves & Hawkes, Philips, Range Rover, CP Company and Crowne Plaza. Kerin O'Connor, Managing Director of The Week, comments 'We're delighted to enter the autumn in such a strong position, with newsstand sales experiencing terrific growth and our luxury brand extension, The Quarterly, enjoying significant support from prestigious new advertisers like Louis Vuitton and Versace.' Every week, The Week distils the best of British and foreign media into 35 succinct editorial pages, with an ABC of over 143,000. Its positioning as 'all you need to know about everything that matters' has won it acclaim from influential opinion formers worldwide as an indispensable read, with an American edition launching successfully seven years ago and achieving its own audited circulation of 494,000. |
