Royal Mansour, Marrakech
"A luxury city within a city"
The Royal Mansour, which opened in June, is King Mohammed VI’s pet project, a "luxury city within a city" and a showcase for Moroccan decorative arts, says Adrian Mourby in The Independent on Sunday.
It is a wonderland of "winding paths, delicate fountains and Moorish arches" where guests have their own individually designed riads, each arranged on three floors around a courtyard, with a roof terrace and plunge pool.
The two restaurants – Moroccan and French – are supervised by the three-Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno; the service is superb; and there’s a huge spa.
