Paranormal Activity 2 trailer released

Just eight months after the low budget horror Paranormal Activity hit British cinemas, the trailer for its sequel has emerged on the internet and it looks to be even more chilling than the first.

The original Paranormal Activity featured a couple living in a haunted house and was shot entirely on a handheld camera. The sequel continues along a similar vein but is shot using security cameras instead.

Fans have already dissected the trailer and pointed out some of the more chilling moments. In the final shot, the baby in the crib can be seen in the mirror, but not in the crib itself. Also, written upside-down on the bottom of the mirror are the words, "What's happening to Hunter?"

There's also a sudden appearance of a young woman in black who some have said looks very similar to Katie, one of the two central characters in the first film.

Paranormal Activity 2 hits US cinemas on October 22 but has yet to have a UK release date confirmed. ·
