The hapless This Morning presenter thought she was referencing Superman - or Star Wars
Holly Willoughby has shocked viewers of ITV's breakast show This Morning by giving a Nazi salute live on air.
The gaffe came about as she read the autocue during this morning's show. "We are set, apparently, for a heatwave, according to the, er, force-casters... Force-casters?" she said.
Atttempting to make a joke of her verbal blunder, she went on: "May the force be with you," and raised her right arm in what looks very much like the notorious salute made famous by Hitler.
Amazingly, she wasn't attempting to reference Star Wars or the Third Reich, but Superman. An ITV spokesman's explanation went: "Holly muddled her film references, mistaking the actions for Superman with a line from Star Wars,"
Sadly it wasn't enough to prevent the inauguration of a new internet meme in which users superimpose Hitler moustaches and Nazi hats on the hapless 'dieser Morgen' presenter. ·

Please don't judge her for doing this, I think she will be very embarrassed. But how hilarious, there is a bit of Eva braun in her I think
