British jet fighters chase a UFO down the M5

A dot on the cameraman’s windscreen, or a UFO? Either way, two fighter jets are apparently chasing the mystery object down – not that they appear to making up much ground.

The footage was enough to get at least one ex-Ministry of Defence UFO expert excited. "This is one of the best videos I've seen," he told the Sun. "It could be a new drone - that might explain the military jets.

"But you don't normally test-fly secret projects in daylight. Alternatively, this could be the real thing - a UFO in our airspace and military aircraft scrambled to intercept."

If it's really that good, the video, which was filmed at a service station off the M5, has probably led to some red faces at the MoD, which closed down its dedicated UFO investigations service in December last year. ·
