Lin Yu Chun - the Taiwanese Susan Boyle

A new series of Britain's Got Talent begins next week and the search is on for another Susan Boyle. But the Taiwanese may have got there first.

Lin Yu Chun has become an internet sensation after belting out an astonishing version of Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You on the Taiwanese show Super Star Avenue - similar to X-Factor.

The youngster also pulled off a Boylesque metamorphosis in the eyes of the audience. He strolled onto the stage overweight, sporting a shaggy bowl haircut and wearing an unfashionable suit and bowtie.

By the time he left he was a hero and the clear favourite to win the show's $1 million prize money. ·
