Moustachioed waiters preside over the cavernous art-deco interior of the city's oldest cafe, serving platters of salami, cheese and olives. Finish off with a tango show in the back room.

Legendary hole-in-the-wall joint plays host to a daily stampede of hungry locals. Rickety wooden tables are heaped high with huge plates of steak, sausages and chicken. Take a taxi after dark and expect a short wait.

Admire the Fifties decor while sipping a ginger-infused house cocktail in one of the city's only Vietnamese restaurants.  Retire to the bar after dinner to join the lively crowd who party after midnight.
