Latest footage of Japanese tsunami shows entire town washed away as people run up slope (with video)
It's hard to imagine quite how horrific a tsunami can be from static pictures in newspapers. This video, however, brings home the destructive power of the 10m high wall of water that hit Japan's coastline following the March 11 earthquake.
Filmed from a hill, the camera shows a whole town melt into rubble in a matter of minutes as those below scramble to reach safety.
It is just the latest spectacular video of the Japanese tsunami to come to light. Other videos, such as this one filmed at street level, also show the speed with which water can travel over huge areas, and the damage it can do. ·
