The US Army robot that can chase you upstairs

This incredible robot goes by the name LittleDog and is part of the US Department of Defense's robot locomotion initiative.

A four-legged machine, it can navigate tricky terrain and obstacles - even learning from its mistakes as it progresses.

With such groundbreaking maneuverability and even the ability to climb, it cannot be too long before we see descendants of LittleDog stalking the world's battlefields.

Any viewers worrying about an impending Terminator-style rise of the machines need not worry. Its battery only lasts for 30 minutes. ·
