Business Digest: Board fear ‘Foxisation’ of content if News Corp take over

LAST UPDATED AT 19:18 ON Sun 20 Jun 2010

The board of BSkyB is concerned about the possible 'Foxisation' of its output if Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation goes ahead with its full takeover. The broadcaster will seek assurances from News Corporation that it will retain editorial independence, particularly in relation to its news channels, as the Murdoch-owned company prepares to purchase the 61 per cent of the company it does not yet own.

News Corporation has been criticised for its Fox News channel in America, which broadcasts with a strong Republican bias. Murdoch’s company is said to be preparing a 700p-a-share offer, which values BSkyB at £12.6bn. However, the board believes that offer significantly undervalues the broadcaster.

What a load of utter bilge, the BBC is slightly Left of centre you are obviously very Right of centre, perhaps you would be happier with the inaccurate, Right wing biased contributions of Newrooms (LOL) such as the Daily Mail and the somewhat more accurate but still Right wing biased Times, the BBC is admired as one of the worlds premier broadcasters one of the few things left to be proud of in this benighted country.

@Jerome; are you saying that you're fine with bias, as long as it's extremely right wing?
Try raising your game and listening to Radio 4. They recently ran a programme on the practicalities of the UK leaving the EU (could be done, but there are pros and cons) and also cover the range of views on immigration well.

A voice that thinks "British TV newsrooms are radically left wing" is the last kind of "voice" we need to hear....

As opposed to almost all the rest of the 'British' media's TV newsrooms, which are openly politicised and radically left wing. If someone told me that the only people allowed to work in BBC newsrooms were feminazis, radical communists and left wing homosexual anarchists, I would believe them. Feminists and their puppet male hangers on have bastardised and corrupted the output of newsrooms to the point of rendering the news useless to anyone who desires impartiality and the whole truth about genuinely nesworthy items. When is our enforced membership of the EUSSR ever questioned, or out of control immigration? Never. The British people have been left without a voice because of communist infiltration and domination of journalism, a scurrilous profession at the best of times.
