Business digest: CPP Global Holdings plans to acquire former Jaguar manufacturing site

Coventry is set to become a major centre for car-making again after automotive company CPP Global Holdings Ltd signed a land purchase agreement for Browns Lane, the site of a former Jaguar manufacturing plant.
 
The firm plans to buy 23 acres from Advantage West Midlands, with planning applications to be submitted by the end of the year. It currently operates at five sites in Coventry.
 
Company founder Brendan O'Toole said the move was part of CPP's aim to make Coventry a "world-class centre of automotive excellence".
 
His business partner, Vladimir Antonov, said: "It will help CPP to create hundreds of new jobs, establish advanced new facilities and is a major investment into the economy of the city and the surrounding region."
