EU bans Samsung Galaxy as Apple sues over iPad patent
Business digest: Technology giants go head-to-head over tablet computers patent infringement claim
Apple has won a temporary injunction against Samsung Electronics to prevent the Korean company from selling the Galaxy Tab 10.1 everywhere in the EU except for the Netherlands.
The Californian technology giant argues that Samsung has "slavishly" copied its successful iPad formula for its own tablet computer, and is suing the company for infringement of patents.
The release of the Galaxy Tab in Australia has already been put back for similar reasons, and Apple is currently seeking a court order against Samsung on the same grounds in the US.
Samsung said that the EU decision had been made "without any hearing or presentation of evidence from Samsung". The company is in the process of counter-suing Apple in South Korea, Japan, the US and Germany.

That's outrageous, not even a chance to represent themselves. Apple have too many friends and whilst have driven innovation are now stifling further innovation. Apple should not have a monopoly on tablets, in fact tablets have been around for many years before Apple even designed one. The Samsung one is not a copy of the iPad2, it is in fact superior from what I can see of the specs. Go compare and make up your own minds -
