The Independent says it has uncovered a "get rich quick" scheme run by Conservative Party chairman Grant Shapps. The paper says Shapps is to be investigated by the Advertising Standards Authority after he was found to have been posing as a web guru named Michael Green with a personal fortune of $28m (£17m) to sell get-rich-quick advice over the internet. Shapps – whom David Cameron recently appointed to the Cabinet – says he used the identity to keep his business separate from his political life.
