England vs. Australia ODI series: results, fixtures, squads and live TV details
England need one more win to seal a 5-0 series whitewash
England head to Old Trafford knowing that victory against Australia will complete a 5-0 series whitewash.
The hosts took a 4-0 lead in the one-day international (ODI) series on Thursday with a six-wicket victory at Trent Bridge. Jason Roy (101) starred with the bat as England recorded their second-highest run chase in ODI cricket.
Australia scored 310-8 from their 50 overs with Shaun Marsh and Aaron Finch both hitting centuries. But Roy, Jonny Bairstow (79) and Jos Buttler (54) guided England to 314-4 from 44.4 overs.

England captain Eoin Morgan told the BBC: “The 5-0 doesn’t hold huge significance. The opportunity to win a game against a good side is huge. We’re only a year away from the World Cup now and our preparations in different grounds around the country need to be good. Manchester [Old Trafford] presents a different challenge and different conditions so hopefully we adapt well again.”
Sunday’s final ODI clash at Old Trafford starts at 11am. England and Australia will also play a Twenty20 match at Edgbaston on 27 June.
