'Robocopter' gives aerial view of Polish riots

Independence Day riots filmed by remote control helicopter (with video)

FOLLOWING the spectacular failure of Merseyside Police's 'spy-bot', a rather more successful remote control CCTV helicopter is patrolling the skies above Warsaw.

Someone in the Polish capital used the 'robocopter' to film clashes between police and two separate groups of protesters that occurred during celebrations to mark the country's Independence Day.

AP reported that 210 people were arrested and dozens hurt as police officers tried to keep a march of several thousand right-wing nationalists and football fans from another march of nearly 2,000 anarchists, anti-Nazi and gay-rights activists in the city centre.

The aerial camera gives a much clearer picture of the situation, as well as the police's tactics of kettling to keep the groups apart. ·
