LA porn star wanted for murder falls to death
Stephen Hill, armed with a sword, fell off 50ft cliff after being Tasered by police
A porn star who was on the run after murdering a fellow actor with a samurai sword has died after being Tasered by police and falling off a cliff in California.
Stephen Hill, who acted in fetish films under the name Steve Driver, had been on the run since Tuesday when he stabbed fellow actor Herbert Wong with the samurai sword, which was being used as a film prop, at the San Fernando studios of Ultima DVD.
Wong, whose screen name was Tom Dong, died later from a torso wound. At least two other colleagues were attacked when they came to Dong's aid but they are expected to make a full recovery.
In fetish films, the cast are expected to hurt each other with elaborate props.
Hill had been living in one of Ultima DVD's studios for several months, but had recently been fired and asked to leave. A police spokesman told reporters Ultima "weren't happy with his product".
Police caught up with Hill, 34, at a property in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, on Saturday after a tip-off. Hill was chased to a cliff-top nearby where he kept the police at bay for eight hours, threatening to kill himself with the sword.
Officers finally downed the errant porn star with a stun gun. As they approached to arrest him, Hill – still conscious – crawled over the edge of the cliff before falling to his death 50 ft below. ·
