Bullock’s husband Jesse James sorry for ‘affair’

Sandra Bullock's husband, Jesse James, has issued a public apology for his recently-reported relationship with a tattoo model – but he also maintains that the "majority" of her claims about an 11-month affair are untrue.

In Touch magazine reported a claim by Michelle 'Bombshell' McGee that she had a torrid affair with James, who she nicknamed the 'Vanilla Gorilla', while his wife was filming The Blind Side, the movie for which she won her Best Actress Oscar last month.

James, who hosts American Choppers, an MTV show about motorcycles, said yesterday: "The vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue and unfounded." He added: "Beyond that, I will not dignify these private matters with any further public comment," but despite that went on to make the following public comments.

"There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me. It's because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way.

"This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them. I am truly very sorry for the grief I have caused them. I hope one day they can find it in their hearts to forgive me."

Warner Brothers yesterday announced they were cancelling the red carpet UK premiere for The Blind Side, which had been scheduled for next Tuesday because Bullock was no longer planning to attend. There was immediate speculation that Bullock had decided to stay in the US because of the alleged affair.

Further details about McGee - whose body, including her forehead, is heavily tattooed - emerged in court papers filed in America by her ex-husband Shane Modica, with whom she has a five-year-old son. His statement said: "As years go by, Avery's mother slips more and more into stripping, pills, alcohol and performances she does online, pornography that she has brought into our home."

He claims she has conducted pornographic photo-shoots and web-casts from her home, strips in clubs using her son's name, recently had a large swastika tattooed on her stomach and once spelled out "White Power" in magnets on their refrigerator.

"I believe that Michelle is mentally ill," he adds. "She is supposed to take medication for bipolar disorder but she doesn't." ·
