The Hangover
After a monumental stag-do in Las Vegas, three buddies have to find the groom to be, just hours before his wedding
Two days before a wedding, a group of friends go to Las Vegas for a stag night celebration. The next morning, they wake up in a trashed hotel suite with no idea what happened the night before, no idea what has happened to the groom-to-be, and a tiger in their bathroom. The buddies have to retrace their steps to find their friend and get him back in time for the wedding.
Tom Huddleston, Time Out: It doesn't help that the central cast is almost entirely forgettable... A genuine star would have made these characters likeable, rather than simply pitiful and tiring. Ironically, the only memorable performance in the film is given by Heather Graham as a hapless hooker. (Verdict: two stars out of five)
Simon Braund, Empire: What really gives The Hangover wings, rendering it every bit as endearing as it is profanely funny, is the chemistry between the leads - [Bradley] Cooper as the group's cocksure alpha male; [Ed] Helms as the neurotic whiner, and [Zach] Galifianakis, in a star-making turn, as the token beardy weirdy. Their guy-centric sparring is so effortless... it seems almost inconceivable that it originated in a script. (Verdict: four stars out of five) ·
