Carrie prank terrifies New York cafe patrons - video
Video promoting horror remake shows what happens when girl unleashes telekinesis in cafe
REMEMBER the 1976 horror movie Carrie? It was based on a Stephen King novel and told the story of Carrie White, an American schoolgirl whose telekinetic powers cause havoc when she gets angry or frightened.
A remake of the film starring Chloë Grace Moretz has been produced by Sony Screen Gems. The studio has released a video promoting the new flick that shows a bunch of unsuspecting café patrons in New York being utterly terrified by some Carrie-style chaos.
The elaborate prank starts when a man – actually, a stuntman – spills his coffee on a Carrie lookalike. Infuriated, she points the palm of her hand in his direction and he shoots up the wall.
Notice that at least one terrified customer manages to film the whole episode on her smartphone. That's one thing the original Carrie didn't have to contend with. ·
