Justin Bieber's new haircut

In a week when fans have obsessed about his new haircut, Bieber is named Least Stylish at the NME awards

Justin Bieber, who missed out on the best newcomer Grammy earlier this month, has suffered a double blow after picking up Least Stylish and Worst Album at last night's NME Awards.

The news may come as a shock to the millions of 'Beliebers' around the world who are still lapping up the embarrassingly detailed press coverage of their hero's new hair-do.

Bieber, who is famed for his pudding bowl haircut, appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres chatshow this week sporting a drastically shorter style, claiming that he didn't care what anybody said about it.

The pop megastar's fans, however, really care. 'Amanda' spoke for many when she simpered on MTV.com: "I really like it and it actually makes him look older!!!! And for all u down there hating on Bieber well if it was Angelina Jolie I'm sure you'd have something to say so don't hate 'cause he's sexy and he ain't even legal yet."

The NME didn't just hate on Bieber, though, handing over Worst Band to the Jonas Brothers and Villain of the Year to David Cameron.

The night's winners were equally predictable, with the indie-phile NME awarding Best British Band to Muse, Best International Band to My Chemical Romance and Best Solo Artist to Laura Marling. The Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl was recognised as 'God-like Genius'.

But in a slightly embarrassing repeat of last week's super-uncool Brit awards, the NME gave Best Album to Arcade Fire for The Suburbs. The full list of NME awards can be viewed here. ·
