‘Noel swiped new songs from Oasis’, says Liam

Gallagher the younger claims Noel has made use of old Oasis material. But how would he know?

Liam Gallagher has lashed out at his brother and former bandmate Noel Gallagher, claiming the older sibling has "swiped" half of the songs on his unreleased solo album from Oasis sessions where they recorded together before splitting up.
The notoriously foul-mouthed Liam told ContactMusic that he had heard the songs and even laid down vocals on the tracks while Oasis were recording their last album Dig Out Your Soul.
"I've heard his fucking new record 'cos I fucking sung on half of it," he said with his customary charm.
"When I was in America for Dig Out Your Soul he swiped some off because he obviously knew he wanted to do a solo album. So he can talk all the bullshit about, 'Oh, I was intimidated,' and all that. Fucking nonsense. Behave. He knows. The people know. And I know," said Liam.
As the Guardian points out, it's not clear how Liam would have heard any new material by his older brother as the fractious siblings have not spoken since Noel walked out on Oasis halfway through a tour in August 2009.
Liam confirms: "I haven't spoken to him, I haven't seen him. It's very hush-hush round his camp. I put up with 18 years of that fucker so I'm not arsed with what he's doing."
While Liam has continued working with the Oasis line-up under their new name Beady Eye, Noel Gallagher has remained tight-lipped about plans for a solo album, warning fans he has no plans to release anything in the near future.
Always the one to have the last word, Liam sniped: "His gigs will be like those that you can really stroke your chin at. With four rent-a-Scousers wearing shell-suits.
