David Tennant to marry the Doctor’s daughter
Former Doctor Who star announces engagement to actress who once played his daughter
Former Doctor Who actor David Tennant is set to marry his girlfriend Georgia Moffett – a 26-year-old actress with whom he enjoys spooky, if not extraterrestial, connections.
First, she is the daughter of Peter Davison, the actor who played the BBC’S fifth Time Lord. Second – and this one’s enough to keep Freudian analysts busy for ages - she once played the fruit of Tennant’s intergalactic loins in a 2008 episode called The Doctor’s Daughter.
The couple have confirmed that they plan to get married next New Year’s Day.
Davison – who played the Doctor between 1981 and 1984 – told the Daily Mail that Tennant is "a genuinely nice guy - and also a very fine Doctor Who".
Tennant has previously been linked to assistant director Jennie Fava and actress Sophia Myles who played Madame de Pompadour in an episode in 2006. ·
