Tarantino blows his lid over screen violence - video

'Django Unchained' director loses his cool over link between movie violence and the real thing

QUENTIN TARANTINO is supposed to be one of the coolest guys in Hollywood, but the director blew his top in an interview about his new film Django Unchained.

The Oscar-nominated film contains plenty of Tarantino’s signature ultra-violence, so the director might have expected a few questions on the subject. But when Channel 4 journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy asked him why he believed there was no link between screen violence and the real thing, Tarantino flipped his lid.

"I’m shutting your butt down," fumed the director when Guru-Murthy tried to pursue the subject. "Don’t ask me a question like that – I’m not biting."

Where are the questions about the screenplay, writing for a German lead actor, how the movie used Sam Jackson as an Uncle Tom, did the actors need to learn whole pages of dialogue, how many takes it took to pull that horse over etc? Stupid interviewer should use his brain a little.
