Jamie Dornan: Ex-male model to play Fifty Shades' Christian
Belfast actor replaces Charlie Hunnan as 'kinky billionaire' in film version of Fifty Shades of Grey
JAMIE DORNAN is to play "kinky billionaire" Christian Grey in the movie adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.
While hardly a household name, the 31-year-old former Calvin Klein model from Belfast has established his acting credentials in several high-profile TV dramas. He played a serial killer in the BBC 2 crime series The Fall and a sheriff in the ABC production Once Upon a Time.
Dornan replaces Charlie Hunnan, who was director Sam Taylor-Johnson's first pick to play Grey. Hunnan bailed out last month, reportedly because he was concerned at the avalanche of publicity the role would send in his direction. There were reports that he may also have wanted too much input into the screenplay.

Taylor-Johnson had been "urgently" seeking a replacement for Hunnan, says The Guardian, because the project is due for release in nine months time and shooting is scheduled to start imminently.
Dornan got the gig after screen testing with Dakota Johnson, the actress who will play Grey's "well-remunerated sex slave", Anastasia Steele.
Negotiations with Dornan are currently "underway", says Metro. The actor is expected to be signed up for three or "possibly four' Fifty Shades of Grey films. ·
