A Dutch victory would reflect well on the Premier League, while the Spanish stars could be leaving

Fans of Arsenal and Liverpool can sit back and watch the World Cup final on Sunday knowing that whatever happens they will have a winner on their books come Monday morning.

For Arsenal Robin Van Persie of Holland and Cesc Fabregas of Spain will be up against each other while Liverpool could have as many as four players in the final - two from each side.

Liverpool striker Fernando Torres and goalkeeper Pepe Reina are in the Spanish squad, although neither was in the starting line-up for the semi final against Germany. The Dutch have Anfield players Dirk Kuyt and Ryan Babel in their squad.

Of those players, Fabregas, Torres, Van Persie and Kuyt are all likely to feature in the match and, as attackers, they all have a realistic chance of being the one who wins it for their country.

But on paper, fans of the Premier League should be supporting Holland. Although it has not been a good tournament for teams featuring English based players the Dutch side has a healthy contingent. In addition to Van Persie, Kuyt and Babel their squad features Johnny Heitinga of Everton and Nigel de Jong of Manchester City.

What's more the Dutch contingent are likely to still be in England next year to show off their medals. The joy felt at Arsenal or Anfield if Spain win could well be shortlived if Fabregas and Torres up sticks for their homeland after the tournament. ·
