Transfer Talk: Croat is unhappy at lack of action at Emirates; Chelsea & Man Utd pursue Rodwell
Kop boss Rafa Benitez has made Arsenal's Croatian striker Eduardo his rather ambitious target, the News of the World claimed yesterday. With Fernando Torres an injury worry and little confidence in the Liverpool back-up attackers David Ngog and Andriy Voronin, Benitez is looking for a tried and tested frontman to bring in. Eduardo is reported to be unhappy at the amount of time that he has to spend on the bench at the Emirates, making just three starts this season, and could relish the opportunity of leading the line alongside the Spaniard Torres. Nani joined Man Utd in June 2007 for a fee believed to be around £15m, but has yet to replicate his performances in a Sporting Lisbon shirt...

Carlo Ancelotti had the youngster scouted during the weekend, when he scored two goals against Bolivia for his national under-15 side, and will want to tie up all the loose ends on the deal before Fifa make their decision about whether the Stamford Bridge club's transfer ban will be enforced. But they'll have to move fast, as Piazon's performances at the recent Nike Youth Cup in Manchester tipped off both that city's teams to the youngster's emerging talent... ·
