WHAT THEY ARE SAYING:Rob Draper, Mail on Sunday: "Fabio Capello has snubbed Michael Owen yet again leaving him out of his latest England squad in a clear sign that the Manchester United striker has a long struggle to convince the Italian he is worthy of a World Cup place next summer."
Paul Kelso, Sunday Telegraph: "England manager Fabio Capello has acknowledged disquiet over Wednesday's match in Amsterdam, agreeing that the timing of the game, three days before the Premier League season begins, is not ideal."
Steve Tongue, Independent on Sunday: "Another season, another international, but two familiar old names still dominate the England manager's press briefing, much as they have done for the past decade and more. David Beckham, his patriotic enthusiasm undiminished by becoming a globetrotting millionaire, is expecting to play a part in Wednesday's game against Holland; Michael Owen, another former Real Madrid galactico, cannot be half as optimistic." ·
