Aguero, 21, plays for Atletico Madrid for whom he scored 17 goals last season in La Liga. Chelsea have offered £45m for the player, but Aguero's demands for a salary of nearly £11m a season are proving to be a stumbling block...
Valencia have confirmed that their crippling debt of £470m will force the club to sell its two prime assets, David Villa and David Silva, the Daily Mail reports. Villa is rumoured to have already agreed a deal taking him to Real Madrid for £32m, but Chelsea are attempting to hijack this move by offering £40m for the Spanish international, and Manchester City are also interested. Mascharanos's agent was looking for attention threatening to move his client on to another club, Mascharano has said he wants to stay in Liverpool and I believe he is sincere with that statement. The agent is probably after a new contract with more money for his client which is what he is paid to do IMO he is misguided with this approach, but Mascherano will be playing in a Liverpool shirt next season.
