Manchester City claim they have won the £32 million race for Carlos Tevez, stealing the Argentinian striker away from their city rivals United. • Meanwhile Chelsea have signed up CSKA Moscow star Yuri Zhirkov in a four-year deal for £18.4 million, the 25-year-old’s agent has claimed.
