AC Milan won’t stop Kaka from going to Man Utd
Alex Ferguson would have to start the bidding at £50m for the Brazilian, making Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit to Real Madrid more likely
AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has indicated that the club won't stand in Brazilian star Kaka's way if he decides he wants to move to Manchester United in the close season. Berlusconi, also Italy's prime minister, made the comments on a TV show, claiming that the San Siro club would never make a player stay against his will, but hoped that the 27-year-old would stay.
If the rumours of Kaka's desire to play at Old Trafford are true, it would conceivably clear the way for Cristiano Ronaldo to realise his long-cherished dream of a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid. Kaka would likely cost Alex Ferguson more than £50m, which would be small beer compared to the £75m being quoted for Ronaldo...
Roque Santa Cruz is still adamant that he will be leaving Blackburn Rovers this summer, but Manchester City, always deemed as his most likely destination due to Cruz's former Ewood Park boss Mark Hughes being there, may not be interested in him any more. Hughes warned the 27-year-old Paraguayan that he may not return for him after having three bids rejected during the January transfer window. "We’re looking at a number of players, and our targets may well change," Hughes said yesterday. "You can’t put all your eggs in one basket"...
