Several papers report that England star Scott Parker will be the first player out of Upton Park following West Ham's relegation to the Championship on Sunday, and clubs are already starting to circle the Hammers captain. The Telegraph says that Manchester City are keen on the 30-year-old midfielder - who apparently is desperate for a taste of Champions League football before it's too late - while the Daily Star has it on good authority that Arsenal are making a play for Parker. The red-top claims that West Ham want around £15m for Parker but Wenger is prepared to offer only £10m. However, it's alleged in the Star that the Arsenal board might overrule Wenger and give West Ham what they want in order to begin the rebuilding work that the Gunners require.

AC Milan officials are intending to visit London in the summer but a trip to Madame Tussauds and the Tate Modern will be the last thing on the minds of the crafty Italians. According to Tuttosport, the once great Milan club will be in the capital to secure the services of Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri, Sandro of Spurs and Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien. According to the Italian rag Milan have set aside £60m for the trio as they look to restore their reputation as one of Europe's top clubs.

How successful Milan will be in their audacious bid remains to be seen, though Nasri has yet to sign a new contract with the Gunners (his current one expires next year) and rumours suggest he is eager for fresh challenges. Essien, too, might decide it's time to move on after six years at the Bridge, while Brazilian midfielder Sandro would seem less amenable to an approach after enjoying a good debut season with Spurs after moving from Inter last summer.

Arsenal's hopes of landing Lille legend Eden Hazard seem to be receding quicker than Arsene Wenger's reputation with the 20-year-old Belgian declaring his interest in playing in Italy. The gifted playmaker, who's been linked with the Gunners and Manchester United in recent months, was asked on French TV programme, Telefoot, where he would like to strut his stuff in an ideal world to which Hazard replied: "I want to play in a great team one day and I know that in Italy there are big clubs."

Hazard's outburst was prompted by Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti's personal message to the youngster in the wake of Lille's defeat of Paris Saint-Germain in the French cup final on Saturday. Moratti praised Hazard's form throughout the season and admitted to Italian reporters that he was monitoring his every move. That revelation clearly delighted Hazard, who said: "Serie A fascinates me and in the future I would like to play there - we'll see. The message of congratulations from President Moratti made me very happy."

In other news talented teenager Romelu Lukaku might not be England-bound after all, despite the rumours of recent weeks suggesting otherwise. The Anderlecht 18-year-old has been mooted as a target for both Chelsea and Manchester City but now it seems he might stay put in Belgium to get more experience under his belt before trying his luck overseas. Asked if he was coming to the end of his time at Anderlecht, Lukaku told reporters: "No, I still have a contract until 2015. I can still learn a lot at Anderlecht. I do not have an agreement with any other club whatsoever."

Newcastle are struggling to hang on to Jose Enrique. The highly-regarded left-back has been in fine form this season for the Magpies and Liverpool are known to be interested in the 25-year-old, but now Lyon have joined the chase for the Spaniard according to reports in the French press. Enrique, who arrived at St James's Park in 2007 in a £6m deal from Villarreal, is still expected to move to Anfield next month unless Lyon come in with an irresistible offer as they look to replace Aly Cissokho, who apparently will be joining Inter Milan in the off-season. ·
