'Drunk' Arsenal star Bendtner 'drops trousers and whips taxi'

Danish striker 'freaks out' at cabbie in Copenhagen, as team mates lose to Bayern Munich

WHILE Arsenal were being exposed as European also-rans by Bayern Munich on Tuesday night, Nicklas Bendtner was apparently exposing himself in an entirely different way in Cophenhagen, if reports that he drunkenly rubbed himself against a taxi and called the driver a "little whore" are to be believed.

The Danish striker, who is no stranger to off-field controversy, reportedly unbuttoned his trousers and rubbed his abdomen against the window of the car, while whipping the vehicle with his belt, after a row with the driver during a drunken night out with friends.

The allegations come from Danish newspaper BT, which claims that Bendtner lost his cool with the driver after he claimed the footballer had taken a CD holder that had been on the back seat of his cab.

The cabbie told the paper that when he asked for his CDs back Bendtner started to "freak out". The driver, who describes himself as a "little chubby", said  the footballer was "much bigger than me and threatening".

He said Bendtner called him a "fat pig" a "bitch" and said he would "f***" him. Eventually, after Bendtner had got out of the car, he began to disrobe and pressed himself against the window and began whipping the cab. "I've dealt with drunks and alcoholics in Copenhagen for over 25 years, but I've never experienced anything like this," added the stunned driver.

The police were not called, said the taxi company, as it was not an assault but "just a passenger who behaved like an idiot".

However, BT says that Arsenal are taking the matter "very seriously" and says that the player will be fined.

The Guardian reports that Bendtner's reputation will take "another battering" because of the claims. It notes that earlier this month the Dane complained he had been "made into a psychopath" during his time on the fringes of the Arsenal squad.

However, this is by no means his only brush with controversy in recent times. In November police were called to an incident at his apartment block in Hertfordshire when he tried to use the swimming pool in the middle of the night.

In 2009 he marked the Gunners Champions League semi-final defeat to Manchester United by leaving a London nightclub with his trousers round his ankles. ·
