With Chilean signed and Mathieu Debuchy on the way, attention turns to Wenger's next targets

With Arsenal's signing of Alexis Sanchez finalised and the capture of Mathieu Debuchy also believed to be on the brink of completion, the gossips have already started wondering which other players will be lining up in the Gunners' unforgivingly tight new Puma kit next season.

Wenger's midfield was high on creativity but low on steel last year, and Sami Khedira is believed to be high on the Frenchman's wanted list, says the Daily Star. Speculation that the defensive midfielder wants to join Arsenal's German contingent will soar after reports claim he has rejected a two-year deal with his current club, Real Madrid.

And is Wenger planning to add Loic Remy to the squad? The Gunners boss has long been an admirer of the France striker and, according to this morning's Independent, Arsenal and QPR have been in discussions this week over a move for the 27-year-old.

Meanwhile, Gunners right-back Carl Jenkinson, who may be wondering where he figures in Wenger's plans with the impending arrival of Debuchy, will be thrown into a new spiral of doubt by reports linking Arsenal with Atletico Madrid right-back Javi Manquillo.

The Daily Mail says the north London club want the Spaniard to compete with Debuchy for the right-back slot next season.

Elsewhere, the question over who will replace Luis Suarez when he completes his expected move to Barcelona continues to be the talk of Merseyside. The Daily Mirror believes that Wilfriend Bony is at the top of Brendan Rodgers' list for that role.

The Swansea striker, who scored 25 times last season, has told friends he is keen on a move to Anfield. His contract includes a £19m release clause and the Welsh side have indicated they will not sell him for a penny less than that. Yet with a £75m price tag on the head of the outgoing Uruguayan, such a fee will not be beyond the Reds.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have slapped an £8m price tag on defender Ryan Bertrand, who is a target for Liverpool and Tottenham. Jose Mourinho has already sent Liverpool packing once after they offered £6m for the twice-capped England international.

However, at least one of the two clubs is expected to send a revised bid to west London, according to the Daily Express.

And could Ecuador striker Enner Valencia be on his way to London? According to Sky sources, the 25-year-old, who scored 18 times in 23 games for Mexican side Pachuca last season, is the subject of a £12m bid from the Hammers.

Valencia, who impressed for his country at the World Cup in Brazil with three goals, could be the answer to the prayers of West Ham, who were light on options up front last season. ·
