Vacancy: Social Media Coordinator
TheWeek.co.uk, the website of the UK's most popular current affairs digest magazine, is looking for a social media coordinator to start ASAP.
The right candidate will have at least a year's proven experience working in the field of social media. They will be extremely familiar with Twitter, Facebook, Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon and other content sharing systems, and will have their own successful social media presence across multiple platforms. They will live, breath and eat all things web, and will know who the agenda-setting bloggers are and what content gets people talking.
Daily tasks include maintaining the website's Facebook and Twitter feeds and sending out newsletters. Making sure content is seen by the right people and is spread across the internet is particularly important, and applicants should have original ideas for how to approach this.
This is a junior position on a small team run by experienced editors. The right person will be given full responsibility for the exciting task of building the newly rebranded website's social media presence and raising the profile of TheWeek.co.uk.
