Paris Saint-Germain are concocting a cunning plan to lure David De Gea to the French capital, claims The Sun.

The paper, quoting French news outlet Le10 Sport, says that PSG have identified the Spanish shotstopper as the priority target next summer.

De Gea has for a long while been linked with a move to Real Madrid but reports from the Spanish capital in recent weeks indicate that Real have gone cold on the idea of De Gea.

Not so PSG, however, with the Sun saying that the 26-year-old is now in the sights of the French giants. Apparently current goalkeepers Kevin Trapp and Alphonse Areola have “failed to to impress” coach Unai Emery and he believes de Gea would bring a greater steadiness to between the sticks at PSG.

Meanwhile the Daily Star says that United boss Jose Mourinho was in Austria over the weekend on a scouting mission. And who was he scouting? The Star swears blind that it was Eintracht Frankfurt star Mijat Gacinovic.

The Serbian midfielder couldn’t prevent his side losing 3-2 to Austria but apparently he turned in another impressive performance and Mourinho can’t fail to have been impressed.

The Star says he was first alerted to Gacinovic by United’s Nemanja Matic and he’s since seen for himself the 22-year-old, who is regarded as “one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting young talents”.

Also tailed by Arsenal and Bayern Munich in recent weeks, Gacinovic is under contract with Frankfurt until June 2021 but since when has that stopped a transfer deal?

Finally, the Manchester Evening News speculates that United could land Antoine Griezmann for half price next summer.

The paper, citing Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, says that his current £178million release clause “will be halved to £89m from July 1, 2018” and that could be bad news for Atletico Madrid.

The La Liga outfit have managed to hang on to one of the most sought-after strikers in the game but the MEN says United will be at the front of his queue for his services next summer.
