Chinese Food: worse than Rebecca Black's Friday – video
The studio behind Friday releases Chinese Food by Alison Gold. It's 'embarrassing', is it 'racist' too?
IF you thought pop songs couldn't get any worse than Rebecca Black's infamous Friday, think again. The "musical mastermind" behind that song has released a new ditty that sets a new, barrel-scraping benchmark for dreadful pop, critics say.
Patrice Wilson, the founder of LA's Ark Music Factory, has churned out another "questionable sugar-laced hit", Metro reports. This one is called Chinese Food and is performed by a perky American blonde called Alison Gold. It's not exactly giving the game away to say the song tells the story of one girl's enjoyment of... Chinese food.
Lyrical highlights include: "Read the menu / They got broccoli / Even chicken wings / Make it spicy," reports Metro. The best moment, the paper says, occurs at 58 seconds in when Gold hollers "makes it rain chow mein".
The song has already been labelled "embarrassing", "offensive" and "racist". "You thought Rebecca Black was bad?" asks Adelaide Now. "Here's Alison Gold with a contender for the worst song ever."
