A VIDEO of an eight-year-old girl practising the Stratovarius track Stratosphere on her guitar has stunned musicians.

The YouTube clip of Zoe Thomson, from Thatcham, Berkshire has attracted more than two million viewers since it was posted two weeks ago.

Thomson has reportedly been playing ever since she could hold a guitar and earlier this month was signed up by Daisy Rock, a company that makes guitars for girls.

She plays in a group of eight- and ten-year-olds called The Mini Band, which last year produced a cover of Metallica’s Enter Sandman. The heavy metal band was so amazed by the children’s abilities they posted the video online, attracting more than three million hits.

After watching Thomson’s latest video, one user wrote: "Excellent right hand, excellent left hand. She's exceptionally good. Every good guitarist will find this absolutely amazing."

Another added: "Holy guitar prodigy batman! Outstanding :) Eddie Van Halen has nothing on you!"
