Lonely monkey adopts chicken at Israeli zoo

A lonely monkey at an Israeli zoo has reportedly adopted a chicken as an outlet for her maternal instincts. Zookeepers say Niv, an Indonesian black macaque, has had difficulty finding a partner since reaching sexual maturity, and has been caring for the bird for the past few weeks. Macaque's normally kill and eat any stray chickens that enter their enclosure.
