A woman has been arrested in Coweta County, Georgia, after teachers spotted a tattoo on her 12-year-old daughter which reads "Jesus Loves". During the investigation, police uncovered a video of the amateur tattoo artist responsible inking a number of people, including children, during a Super Bowl party earlier this year. The mother and the tattoo artist face various charges.

Man arrested after decapitating pigeon

A 24-year-old man has been arrested in New York, after he reportedly decapitated a pigeon outside the New York Public Library. Police found Daniel Dentre at the scene "spattered with blood", before he admitted to "hurting" the bird. Dentre was taken to hospital for psychological evaluation.

Minnesotans call for statue of Prince

More than 2,000 residents of Minnesota have signed a petition calling for the replacement of an existing statue of Christopher Columbus to be removed and replaced with a statue of the musician Prince, who died in April 2016.
