Moss is cover girl for Ferry’s Olympia as Topshop’s Green has change of heart

Kate Moss, currently appearing on the cover of Vogue for the 30th time this month, has added a new kind of cover shoot to her portfolio. Moss is to be the 'cover girl' for Bryan Ferry's new album Olympia which comes out next month.

Moss, whose stunning nude photos for the American jeweller David Yurman's latest ad campaign were unveiled last week, is pictured on the album's cover and insides wearing nothing but a diamond necklace and red lipstick. In contrast to the Yurman campaign, however, this time her modesty is preserved by a bedsheet.

Bryan Ferry said the cover was inspired by Edouard Manet's painting Olympia although some observers have commented that the colour photo looks more like an uninspiring ad for cheap perfume.

Ferry, however, claims to be delighted with the shots. He told the Daily Mail that the shoot "worked out fantastically". Moss, he said, was the "great femme fatale of our era". He added: "And it turns out she was delighted to do it, she was a big fan of the music."

Meanwhile it has emerged that Moss may yet continue her links with Topshop, despite last week's announcement that the supermodel-turned-designer and fashion chain were parting ways.

Topshop owner Sir Philip Green appears to have had a change of heart, insisting this week that the pair will work together again. He told Grazia magazine: "It isn't a split. There are two or three very special projects we have in mind, which we will do as and when. They have to be unique, special and they have to have her stamp on them." ·
