Bristol Palin has entered the lucrative world of the speaker-for-hire, and looks set to earn up to $30,000 per speech. The agency whose books she has joined, Single Source Speakers, is a Christian organisation that provides speakers to talk about the religious and sociological issues that concern Americans today.

Their website lists Palin, daughter of the former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, as being available for talks concerning abstinence, pro-life and womens' issues, among other topics.

Bristol's teenage pregnancy was announced during her mother's run for the White House. Family lawyer Thomas van Flein said the 19-year-old would be selective in the speeches she gave and was looking to expand her message beyond teenage pregnancy to include experiences on the campaign trail and life in the media spotlight.

Bristol has already publicly promoted abstinence, appearing on Good Morning America in May last year to discuss the issue - despite making a statement three months earlier saying that abstinence was "not realistic at all". ·
