Bridge accuses Perroncel of taking ‘hush money’
Footballer tries to avoid extra maintenance by claiming John Terry paid his ex £800k
The bitter fall-out between Manchester City full-back Wayne Bridge and his former fiancee Vanessa Perroncel took on a new twist yesterday when the couple went to London's High Court in a battle over 'hush money' and child maintenance. It was the first time the pair had seen each other since news broke of Perroncel's affair with Bridge's former England and Chelsea team-mate John Terry.
Perroncel is accusing Bridge of failing to provide adequate maintenance for their three-year-old son Jaydon. A former lingerie model who is now a full-time mother, Perroncel claimed that Bridge has offered her just £3,000 a month despite earning £88,000 a week at Manchester City. Sources close to the player say he is prepared to pay at least £10,000 a month.
Despite his £352,000 a month salary, Bridge is said to be reluctant to agree to pay out any more child maintenance because he is convinced that Perroncel has already been paid as much as £800,000 by Terry, the married father of twins, in order to stop her revealing details of their relationship after the affair came to light.
Perroncel had already split with Bridge following his move from Chelsea to Manchester City before beginning her fling with Terry. Nonetheless the news of the affair with Terry pushed the 29-year-old Bridge to retire from international football.
Neither Perroncel nor Bridge would comment while entering or leaving court yesterday. But Perroncel's publicist Max Clifford strongly denied that she had received any "hush money" from the former England captain.
Clifford said: "She just wants Wayne to care for their son properly. She is a full-time mum and has no other form of income." He added: "She wants everything to be cordial so Wayne can have a good relationship with their little boy."
Meanwhile there was speculation that Bridge is finally moving on from his split with Perroncel as sources claimed that he was "growing close" to American reality TV star Kim Kardashian. Bridge met Kardashian, from entertainment channel E!'s Keeping Up With the Kardashians series, in Miami earlier this month. Kardashian split with her boyfriend, US footballer Reggie Bush, this week. ·

So just WHAT is Bridge whining on about?
He's like an overgrown schoolkid - "I don't want you but I don't want anybody else to have you"!
If he fathered the kid he should support it properly! After all, £88,000 a week is an obscene amount of money just for going out in "the park" and kicking a ball around, so he can easily afford the money.
